LRRC49

Description

The LRRC49 (leucine rich repeat containing 49) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

LRRC49 is a component of the tubulin polyglutamylase complex (TPGC), which is responsible for adding multiple glutamate residues to tubulin chains. This polyglutamylation process is crucial for the formation and movement of cilia and flagella.

LRRC49 is also known as CSTPP2, PGs4.
