LMF2

Description

The LMF2 (lipase maturation factor 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.

LMF2 plays a crucial role in the maturation of specific proteins within the endoplasmic reticulum. It is believed to be essential for the maturation and transport of active lipoprotein lipase (LPL) through the secretory pathway.

LMF2 is also known as TMEM112B, TMEM153.
