LIPI
Description
The LIPI (lipase I) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 21.
The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) was the government agency responsible for scientific research in Indonesia. Established in 1928, it was initially known as the Scientific Council of the Dutch East Indies and evolved through various name changes before being nationalized as the Indonesian Sciences Council in 1956. In 2021, LIPI was dissolved and its research centers merged with other government agencies to form the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). LIPI was divided into four Technical Implementing Organizations of BRIN: Engineering Science Research Organization, Earth Sciences Research Organization, Life Sciences Research Organization, and Social and Humanities Research Organization.
LIPI is also known as CT17, LPDL, PLA1C, PRED5, mPA-PLA1 beta.
