Description

The LCE3D (late cornified envelope 3D) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

LCE3D is a precursor protein that contributes to the formation of the cornified envelope, a tough, protective layer in the outermost layer of skin (stratum corneum).

LCE3D is also known as LEP16, SPRL6A, SPRL6B.
