KRT15
Description
The KRT15 (keratin 15) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.
Keratin 15 is a protein encoded by the KRT15 gene in humans. It is also known as cytokeratin 15, K1CO, and KRTB. Keratin 15 is a type I cytokeratin and is prominently expressed in the basal layer of complex epithelia. However, acral keratinocytes express very little or no keratin 15.
KRT15 is also known as CK15, K15, K1CO.
