KLK10

Description

The KLK10 (kallikrein related peptidase 10) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

Kallikrein-10 is a protein encoded by the KLK10 gene in humans. Kallikreins are a group of enzymes with diverse functions in the body, and some are linked to cancer. The KLK10 gene is part of a group of 15 kallikrein genes located on chromosome 19. The protein produced by this gene is secreted and may help prevent the growth of breast and prostate tumors. This gene has multiple variations due to alternative splicing, but these variations all code for the same protein.

KLK10 is also known as NES1, PRSSL1.
