KCP

Description

The KCP (kielin cysteine rich BMP regulator) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

KCP may refer to: Kielin/chordin-like protein, Cysteine-rich BMP regulator 2, Cysteine-rich motor neuron 2 protein, Kielin/chordin-like protein 1.

KCP enhances bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling through a paracrine mechanism. However, it inhibits signaling pathways mediated by activin-A and TGFB1.

KCP is also known as CRIM2, KCP1, NET67.
