INSRR

Description

The INSRR (insulin receptor related receptor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

The INSRR gene encodes for the insulin receptor-related protein in humans.

INSRR is a receptor tyrosine kinase that functions as a pH sensor. Activation by an increase in extracellular pH triggers an intracellular signaling pathway involving IRS1 and AKT1/PKB.

INSRR is also known as IRR.
