GUCY2EP

Description

The GUCY2EP (guanylate cyclase 2E, pseudogene) is a pseudo gene located on chromosome 11.

GUCY2EP is a gene that encodes the guanylate cyclase 2E protein. This protein is highly expressed in the retina and may play a role in phototransduction.

Guanylate cyclase 2E protein (GUCY2EP) is a member of the guanylate cyclase family. It is highly expressed in the retina and may play a role in phototransduction. GUCY2EP interacts with the alpha subunit of transducin (GNAT1), which is a key protein involved in the visual signaling pathway. GUCY2EP also interacts with other proteins involved in retinal function, including recoverin (REC1) and rhodopsin (RHO).

GUCY2EP is also known as GC-E, GCD, GUCY2E.
