GSN-AS1

Description

The GSN-AS1 (GSN antisense RNA 1) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 9.

GSN-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that is transcribed from the same genomic locus as the GSN gene. It is located on chromosome 17q21.31 and has been shown to be differentially expressed in various tissues and cell types, suggesting a potential role in gene regulation.

The exact function of GSN-AS1 is still under investigation. However, it is believed to play a role in regulating the expression of the GSN gene, potentially by acting as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) or by influencing the stability of GSN mRNA.

GSN-AS1 is also known as C9orf31, MOST2.
