GMPR2

Description

The GMPR2 (guanosine monophosphate reductase 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

GMPR2 catalyzes the irreversible conversion of GMP to IMP using NADPH as a cofactor. This reaction is crucial for converting guanine (G) nucleotides to adenine (A) nucleotides, maintaining the balance of these nucleotides within cells. GMPR2 plays a role in cellular differentiation.

GMPR2 is also known as GMPR 2.
