GINS3
Description
The GINS3 (GINS complex subunit 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.
GINS3 is essential for the proper function of the GINS complex, which plays a crucial role in initiating DNA replication and progressing DNA replication forks. The GINS complex is a central component of the CDC45-MCM-GINS (CMG) helicase, a molecular machine responsible for unwinding template DNA during replication, and around which the replisome assembles.
GINS3 is also known as PSF3.
