GAS2L2

Description

The GAS2L2 (growth arrest specific 2 like 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

GAS2L2 plays a role in the connection between microtubules and microfilaments. It regulates the movement and stability of microtubules by interacting with MAPRE1, a protein that tracks the ends of microtubules, to control microtubule growth along actin stress fibers. GAS2L2 also increases ADORA2-mediated adenylyl cyclase activation by acting as a scaffold to bring together trimeric G-protein complexes and ADORA2A. GAS2L2 is involved in the regulation of cilia orientation and function in airway cells.

GAS2L2 is also known as CILD41, GAR17.
