FJX1
Description
The FJX1 (four-jointed box kinase 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.
The FJX1 gene in humans encodes the Four-jointed box 1 protein. This protein is the human equivalent of similar proteins found in mice and fruit flies (Drosophila). In fruit flies, the Four-jointed protein is crucial for the growth and development of legs, wings, and eyes. However, the specific function of FJX1 in humans is still unknown.
Inhibits the extension and branching of dendrites.
