FGD6

Description

The FGD6 (FYVE, RhoGEF and PH domain containing 6) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

FGD6 is thought to activate CDC42, a protein involved in cell signaling, by swapping GDP for GTP. This interaction potentially influences the organization of the actin cytoskeleton and ultimately impacts cell shape.

FGD6 is also known as ZFYVE24.
