F3
Description
The F3 (coagulation factor III, tissue factor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.
F3 or F03 may refer to:
F3, or Tissue Factor (TF), initiates blood clotting by forming a complex with circulating factor VII or VIIa. This complex activates factors IX or X through limited proteolysis. TF is essential for normal hemostasis, initiating the assembly and propagation of the coagulation protease cascade on the cell surface.
F3 is also known as CD142, TF, TFA.
