ETV4
Description
The ETV4 (ETS variant transcription factor 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.
ETV4, also known as PEA3, belongs to the PEA3 subfamily of Ets transcription factors. It is associated with two cancers: Ewing Sarcoma, which primarily affects bones, and Extraosseous Ewing's Sarcoma, which affects soft tissues. Ewing Sarcoma commonly affects the arms, legs, hips, and spine, while Extraosseous Ewing's Sarcoma affects the chest, foot, pelvis, and spine.
ETV4 is a transcriptional activator, potentially contributing to keratinocyte differentiation.
ETV4 is also known as E1A-F, E1AF, PEA3, PEAS3.
