ERG

Description

The ERG (ETS transcription factor ERG) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 21.

ERG is a gene that encodes a protein involved in regulating gene expression. It is not related to the unit of energy, 'erg'.

ERG, a transcriptional regulator, influences gene expression by associating with SETDB1, a histone methyltransferase. This association leads to alterations in the local chromatin structure, impacting gene activity.

ERG is also known as LMPHM14, erg-3, p55.
