ELAVL2

Description

The ELAVL2 (ELAV like RNA binding protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

ELAV-like protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ELAVL2 gene.

ELAVL2 is an RNA-binding protein that interacts with the 3' untranslated region (3'UTR) of target mRNAs, potentially recognizing a GAAA motif. It can bind to its own 3'UTR, as well as the 3'UTRs of FOS and ID genes.

ELAVL2 is also known as HEL-N1, HELN1, HUB.
