EBF4

Description

The EBF4 (EBF family member 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

EBF4 is a transcription factor that binds to the specific sequence motif 5'-CCCNNG[GA]G-3' in regulatory elements of putative target immunoregulatory genes such as NKG7, GZMA, and TBX21. It positively modulates transcription of NKG7. EBF4 may play a role in regulating FAS/CD95-mediated apoptosis in cytotoxic NK cells and T-cells, likely downstream of interleukin IL2 signaling.

EBF4 is also known as COE4, O/E-4, OE-4.
