DTX4

Description

The DTX4 (deltex E3 ubiquitin ligase 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

Deltex E3 ubiquitin ligase 4 is a protein encoded by the DTX4 gene in humans.

DTX4 acts as a regulator of Notch signaling, a pathway crucial for cell-cell communication and cell fate decisions. DTX4 functions as a ubiquitin ligase in vivo, specifically mediating Lys48-linked polyubiquitination. This process leads to the degradation of TBK1, a protein involved in the immune response. The interaction with NLRP4 is essential for DTX4 to target TBK1 for degradation.

DTX4 is also known as RNF155.
