DOK4

Description

The DOK4 (docking protein 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

Docking protein 4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DOK4 gene.

DOK4 is a docking protein that acts as a scaffold for the assembly of signaling complexes involved in various cellular processes. It plays a role in RET-mediated nerve cell growth and activates the MAP kinase pathway, which is important for cell signaling. DOK4 may also be involved in regulating the immune response from T-cells.

DOK4 is also known as IRS-5, IRS5.
