DNAJC11

Description

The DNAJC11 (DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member C11) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

DNAJC11 is a human protein encoded by the DNAJC11 gene. It is a member of the DnaJ homolog subfamily C.

This isoform is essential for proper organization of the mitochondrial inner membrane. It appears to exert its function by interacting with both the MICOS complex and the mitochondrial outer membrane sorting assembly machinery (SAM) complex.

DNAJC11 is also known as dJ126A5.1.
