KDF1

Description

The KDF1 (keratinocyte differentiation factor 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

KDF1 plays a crucial role in shaping the epidermis during early development. It acts as a dual regulator, suppressing the growth of basal cells while simultaneously promoting the differentiation of their offspring.

KDF1 is also known as C1orf172, ECTD12.
