Description
The DSG4 gene encodes desmoglein-4, a transmembrane protein that plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and maintaining the structural integrity of tissues. Desmoglein-4 is primarily found in the desmosomes, specialized cell junctions that connect adjacent epithelial cells.
