SP6

Description

The SP6 (Sp6 transcription factor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

SP6 is a gene that refers to multiple entities. It can be associated with an RNA polymerase, a rifle cartridge, a steam toy, a computing service pack, an asteroid, an acupuncture point, or a military rank. However, in the context of human genes, SP6 refers to a transcription factor also known as Krueppel-like factor 14.

SP6 promotes cell proliferation, plays a role in tooth germ growth and enamel mineralization. It binds the AMBN promoter.

SP6 is also known as AI1K, EPFN, EPIPROFIN, KLF14.
