Description

The DCTN3 (dynactin subunit 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

DCTN3 encodes the smallest subunit of dynactin, a complex involved in various cellular processes. This subunit binds directly to the largest dynactin subunit (p150). Alternative splicing of the DCTN3 gene produces two transcript variants.

DCTN3 is also known as DCTN-22, DCTN22.
