DCTN1-AS1

Description

The DCTN1-AS1 (DCTN1 antisense RNA 1) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 2.

DCTN1-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 12. It is transcribed from the opposite strand of the DCTN1 gene, which encodes the protein dynamin 1. However, DCTN1-AS1 does not encode a protein itself. Instead, it is thought to play a regulatory role in gene expression. The exact functions of DCTN1-AS1 are still being investigated, but studies suggest that it may be involved in a variety of cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.

DCTN1-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that has been shown to be involved in the regulation of gene expression. Studies have suggested that it may play a role in cancer development and progression. For example, one study found that DCTN1-AS1 was upregulated in colorectal cancer cells and that its knockdown inhibited cell proliferation and invasion. Another study found that DCTN1-AS1 was downregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma cells and that its overexpression promoted cell proliferation and migration.
