CDH24

Description

The CDH24 (cadherin 24) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

Cadherin-24 is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein. It preferentially interacts with itself in a homophilic manner in connecting cells, contributing to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. It mediates strong cell-cell adhesion.

CDH24 is also known as CDH11L.
