CCDC68

Description

The CCDC68 (coiled-coil domain containing 68) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 18.

CCDC68 is a centriolar protein essential for the assembly of centriole subdistal appendages and the anchoring of microtubules during interphase. It collaborates with CCDC120, ODF2, NIN, and CEP170 in a hierarchical assembly process to form these appendages.

CCDC68 is also known as SE57-1.
