CASC8
Description
The CASC8 (cancer susceptibility 8) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 8.
CASC8 is a human gene located on chromosome 12. It encodes a protein of unknown function, but it has been implicated in the regulation of gene expression. Some studies suggest that mutations in CASC8 may be associated with certain diseases, including cancer.
CASC8 is a gene that encodes a protein known as a CASC8 protein. This protein is thought to play a role in regulating the expression of other genes, possibly by interacting with chromatin, the complex of DNA and proteins that make up chromosomes. However, the exact function of CASC8 protein is not yet fully understood. Studies have suggested that mutations in CASC8 may be associated with certain diseases, including cancer. Further research is needed to fully understand the role of CASC8 in human health and disease.
CASC8 is also known as CARLO1, CARLo-1, LINC00860.
