TNNI3K

Description

The TNNI3K (TNNI3 interacting kinase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

The TNNI3K gene encodes a protein kinase belonging to the MAP kinase kinase kinase (MAPKKK) family. This protein contains ankyrin repeat, protein kinase, and serine-rich domains, suggesting a role in cardiac function. Mutations in TNNI3K are linked to cardiomyopathies.

TNNI3K may play a role in the regulation of heart function.

TNNI3K is also known as CARK, CCDD.
