CAND2

Description

The CAND2 (cullin associated and neddylation dissociated 2 (putative)) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

CAND2 likely acts as an assembly factor for SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complexes. It facilitates the exchange of F-box subunits within SCF complexes, which are responsible for recognizing and targeting specific proteins for degradation. This dynamic regulation of SCF complex composition contributes to the diverse range of cellular processes controlled by ubiquitination.

CAND2 is also known as TIP120B, Tp120b.
