PERP

The PERP gene encodes a protein called p53 regulatory protein. This protein acts like a co-pilot alongside the famous tumor suppressor p53. PERP helps stabilize p53, allowing it to effectively identify and repair DNA damage or trigger cell death in severely damaged cells.
