Description

The BOD1 (biorientation of chromosomes in cell division 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

BOD1 ensures chromosomes properly align during cell division by identifying and fixing any incorrect attachments between chromosomes and the spindle fibers.

BOD1 is also known as FAM44B.
