ATP6V0E2

Description

The ATP6V0E2 (ATPase H+ transporting V0 subunit e2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

ATP6V0E2 is a subunit of the V0 complex of vacuolar (H+)-ATPase (V-ATPase), a multi-subunit enzyme. V-ATPase is responsible for acidifying and maintaining the pH of intracellular compartments. In some cell types, it is targeted to the plasma membrane, where it contributes to acidifying the extracellular environment.

ATP6V0E2 is also known as ATP6V0E2L, C7orf32.
