ARSI

Description

The ARSI (arylsulfatase family member I) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

ARSI exhibits arylsulfatase activity at neutral pH when co-expressed with SUMF1. This activity is detectable in the secretion medium of retinal cell lines but not in cell extracts. However, ARSI lacks arylsulfatase activity when assessed independently.

ARSI is also known as ASI, SPG66.
