ARR3

Description

The ARR3 (arrestin 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.

ARR3, or arrestin-C, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ARR3 gene. It is also known as retinal cone arrestin-3. You can find more information about the ARR3 gene and its location on the UCSC Genome Browser.

ARR3, or arrestin-C, may be involved in a yet-undiscovered signaling pathway specific to the retina. It potentially interacts with red and green opsins that have been activated by light and phosphorylated.

ARR3 is also known as ARRX, MYP26, cArr.
