Description

The ARMC1 (armadillo repeat containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.

ARMC1, in conjunction with components of the MICOS (Mitochondrial Contact Site and Cristae Organizing System) and SAM (Mitochondrial Outer Membrane Sorting Assembly Machinery) complexes, may regulate mitochondrial dynamics, influencing factors like mitochondrial length, distribution, and movement.

ARMC1 is also known as Arcp.
