ARHGAP1

Description

The ARHGAP1 (Rho GTPase activating protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

ARHGAP1 (Rho GTPase-activating protein 1) is an enzyme encoded by the ARHGAP1 gene in humans. It interacts with BNIP2, CDC42, and RHOA. You can find more information about this gene at the UCSC Genome Browser.

ARHGAP1 acts as a GTPase activator for the Rho, Rac and Cdc42 proteins. It converts these proteins to their inactive GDP-bound state, with a preference for Cdc42.

ARHGAP1 is also known as CDC42GAP, RHOGAP, RHOGAP1, p50rhoGAP.
