ANO7

Description

The ANO7 (anoctamin 7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

ANO7 possesses calcium-dependent phospholipid scramblase activity, enabling it to shuffle phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine, and galactosylceramide across cell membranes. However, it lacks calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) activity. ANO7 is thought to participate in cell-cell interactions.

ANO7 is also known as D-TMPP, DTMPP, IPCA-5, IPCA5, NGEP, PCANAP5, PCANAP5L, TMEM16G.
