ANKRD6

Description

The ANKRD6 (ankyrin repeat domain 6) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

ANKRD6, also known as Diversin, plays a crucial role in regulating the Wnt signaling pathway by promoting the degradation of beta-catenin. It facilitates the assembly of a complex containing AXN1 or AXN2, GSK3-beta, and CKI-epsilon, which then efficiently phosphorylates beta-catenin. This phosphorylation event ultimately inhibits the beta-catenin/Tcf signaling pathway.

ANKRD6 is also known as -.
