AGAP4

Description

AGAP4, also known as ArfGAP with GTPase domain, ANK repeat and PH domain, is a crucial gene involved in regulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics. It plays a vital role in various cellular processes, including cell migration, endocytosis, and vesicle trafficking. AGAP4 acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for the small GTPase ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF), which controls the recruitment and activation of proteins involved in membrane trafficking. The gene is highly conserved across various species and its mutations can lead to several human diseases.
