RTN2

Description

The RTN2 (reticulon 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

RTN2 is a protein encoded by the RTN2 gene in humans. It belongs to the reticulon family of genes, which are associated with the endoplasmic reticulum. Reticulons are involved in neuroendocrine secretion or membrane trafficking in neuroendocrine cells. Different isoforms of RTN2 are produced due to alternative splicing.

RTN2 is also known as HMNR11, NSP2, NSPL1, NSPLI, SPG12.
