KIF2A

Description

The KIF2A (kinesin family member 2A) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

KIF2A is a protein encoded by the KIF2A gene in humans. In mice, KIF2A is critical for proper neurogenesis, and its deficiency in mature neurons leads to their loss. Kinesins, including KIF2A, are motor proteins that move along microtubules.

KIF2A is also known as CDCBM3, HK2, KIF2.
