KCNH5

Description

The KCNH5 (potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H member 5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

The KCNH5 gene encodes the Kv10.2 protein, a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, subfamily H. It is a pore-forming (alpha) subunit of a voltage-gated non-inactivating delayed rectifier potassium channel. This gene is not expressed in differentiating myoblasts. Alternative splicing results in three transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.

The KCNH5 gene encodes the Kv10.2 protein, a pore-forming alpha subunit of a voltage-gated potassium channel. It produces a non-inactivating outward rectifying current. The channel's properties are influenced by cAMP and subunit assembly.

KCNH5 is also known as DEE112, EAG2, H-EAG2, Kv10.2, hEAG2.
