GNB4

Description

The GNB4 (G protein subunit beta 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

GNB4 encodes a beta subunit of heterotrimeric G proteins. These proteins act as signal mediators between receptors and effector proteins. GNB4's beta subunit plays a critical role in regulating alpha subunits, as well as certain signaling receptors and effectors.

GNB4 is also known as CMTD1F, HG2B.
