ARHGEF9

Description

The ARHGEF9 (Cdc42 guanine nucleotide exchange factor 9) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.

ARHGEF9 is a human gene that encodes a protein belonging to the family of Rho-like GTPases. These GTPases act as molecular switches, cycling between active GTP-bound and inactive GDP-bound states. ARHGEF9 plays a critical role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton and cell signaling. It has been shown to interact with GPHN and SMURF1.

ARHGEF9 is also known as COLLYBISTIN, DEE8, EIEE8, HPEM-2, PEM-2, PEM2.
