GCC2

Description

The GCC2 (GRIP and coiled-coil domain containing 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

GCC2, also known as GRIP and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 2, is a protein encoded by the GCC2 gene in humans. It is a peripheral membrane protein located in the trans-Golgi network, sensitive to brefeldin A. GCC2 contains a GRIP domain, which is believed to be involved in targeting. Two different isoforms of this protein are produced by alternative splicing of the GCC2 gene.

GCC2 is also known as GCC185, RANBP2L4, REN53.
