GABARAPL3

Description

The GABARAPL3 (GABA type A receptor associated protein like 3 (pseudogene)) is a pseudo gene located on chromosome 15.

GABARAPL3 is a protein that plays a role in autophagy, a cellular process that involves the degradation of cellular components. It is thought to be involved in the formation of autophagosomes, which are double-membrane vesicles that engulf cellular material for degradation. GABARAPL3 has also been shown to interact with other proteins involved in autophagy, such as ATG12 and ATG16L1.

Studies suggest that GABARAPL3 may play a role in various cellular processes, including the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, and survival. It has been implicated in the development of certain types of cancer, as well as neurodegenerative diseases.

GABARAPL3 is also known as ATG8D.
